Pope supports GM!

I'm not sure what has been going on at the Vatican recently. First we had a statement allowing the use of condoms to prevent infection - not just to protect men apparently - and now we hear that it is OK for scientists to genetically modify life.

It does just mention crops to be fair, but since there has already been fish genes used in tomatoes I'm not sure where priests will draw the line or how they could be qualified to.
